We went on an adventure to Venice to discover a collection of previously unseen images from some of Venice’s greatest photographers, stretching back to the 1940s.

The Archivio Cameraphoto Epoche is hidden away on a back street in Italy’s legendary city of canals, and is home to over 300,000 images of which only around 1% have been scanned. Owners Carlo Pescatori and Vittorio Pavan preside over one of the greatest hidden photographic collections, and they granted exclusive access to us on our mission to find a collection of epic images for our latest European collection – with thousands to choose from our biggest challenge was cutting it down to the collection you see here.
