Our latest collaboration with the fabulous Uncut magazine brings you a collection of classic archive images from the world's most revered and popular rock artists.

Editor John Mulvey mined through the archives and his selections form The Uncut Collection. Fully refreshed for 2015 it features 20 images, all of which are limited to 495, and are available from only £79/€119/$129 framed.

It’s something of a cliché to claim that a great photograph can say more than a thousand words of the most erudite and vivid prose; every picture, we’re reminded, tells a story. But, looking through our new collection of Sonic Editions pictures, it feels a pretty salient point to make. For here are images of Nick Cave, Kurt Cobain & Jimi Hendrix, to name a few, that capture the energy and often mystical charisma of great musicians. It’s in the way they hold their guitars, the way they coolly appraise the camera. There’s an intangible atmosphere which is critical to our love of these men and women, and to the enduring potency of their music.”
John Mulvey, Editor, Uncut.

Completely refreshed and revised, the collection features images from some of the most famous events in rock history from Johnny Cash performing for prisoners at San Quentin, to Serge Gainsbourg taking time out for a cigarette break.

There is a 'Who's Who' of rock legends spanning the eras including a rare shot of Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger in conversation on a train and Marvin Gaye taking a stroll through Notting Hill, London. Browse the collection to see  R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Lee 'Scratch' Perry in Switzerland, and Blur in Islington.
